Goalie Camp
So this was a very long and exhausting week. I had to go to a goalie camp run by GDI, for any of you that know hockey camps and all. But GDI is a goalie specific development camp run by some of the top goalie coaches in the nation. I was up in Arvada from seven forty five till six thirty every day from monday to friday. Each day i would have fitness development and eye hand coordination as soon as I got there. I would then get on the ice for an hour and a half at eleven thirty before lunch. After lunch we would proceed to have fitness testing which was not a big deal it was simply personal goal type of testing just to see where you were at in terms of each type of fitness element. After our fitness testing we would have a relaxing type of activity for about and hour an d a half which usually consisted of playing a game of stick ball on the baseball field across the street from the ice rink. Then we would get on the ice for another hour and a half session before we got to go home. That was what I was doing all week haha, it was hard and challenging but not too hard that I couldn't push myself through it. I enjoyed every single little second of it. It was hard but I was able to see great improvement each time I stepped out on the ice. That week of camp put me into a much better situation going into the season. I'm looking forward to the improvements that I will be able to make as the season starts and pushes me like I've never been pushed.
