Hey everyone, I just got back home from my first practice....... well first for a lot of reasons. haha ok only two. The head coach Chadd Olson was there tonight, I thought it was going to be miserable, I hardly ate before I went because I thought it was going to be just a full on skate till you throw up kind of practice. Thank you Em for making me eat something, I would have died haha you always know what's best. But we did a lot of complex drills, not his full blown drills I don't think and a lot of more fun, I think he is trying to ease us into everything. I know this first month is going to be a lot of conditioning. He was kind of disappointed with the talent that he was able to get for this year, he flat out told us that one, he said not to say that we were all awful but that most of the team this year would not have made the team last year, and the kids that were on it last year weren't playing too much. So he wants us to be the hardest working team in the league, obviously because it sounds like that's the only way we'll win. So this month will be extremely good for me.
Today I think I might have gotten set up for an online college course, I'm really hoping so anyway. After I get that set up and going I'm going to start to just apply to different schools that I want to go to next year, and who knows maybe I'll be able to get a scholarship enough to go there even if they don't offer one for me with hockey.
Em and I still plugging along, lots of fun, she is still sick though so please continue to pray for her, it is hard for her to get her rest being up in college. Too much that she NEEDS to do, and yes truly need. God will continue to bless us, as long as we keep him at our center, which I do say we are doing quite the job of.
Well I'm off, sorry this one is not quite as long haha. I'm sleepy, practice again 7:50-9:50 tomorrow, oh ya! I don't know if I have told y'all this yet but we always have two hours of ice time. Hope everyone is doing well. Can't wait to see you guys at the wedding!
